Dublin '16 !

Day 1: We arrived at about 12pm and then checked in to Temple Bar Hotel (which was super nice and the bed was so comfy and breakfast was amazing )

After roaming the streets for a bit, we headed to Yamamori Izakaya for lunch!

We shared a soba noodle dish with grilled vegetables and a tofu steak!

The tofu steak was honestly the best tofu I've ever had!! The inside of the tofu was sweet even without all the sauce!!

We then shopped for a bit and then caught the River Dance! It was amazingggg and the lead couple was so good looking, esp the guy, he was so charming and dreamyyyyyy :))))

Day 2: The Cliffs of Moher and the Burren

We were so lucky as the weather forecast stated that it would rain the entire day and it was pouring as the coach took us to the cliffs but once we reached, the sky cleared and remained that way for the entirety of the day tour!! Blessed :')

My hat was flying off at this point as the wind was insane and it landed in a pool of mud hurray

My cute cow friends!!

This was the Burrens! Everything here is limestone and it's said to look as if you were walking on the moon and I kinda agree!

On the opposite side of where I was standing to take this shot, this limestone pavement stretched out for endless miles ahead of me and I was literally staring in awe
Nature is amazing!!!

After the Burrens, we went to visit Galway City where mum and I had vegan shepherd's pie and a organic rice noodle bowl with sweet potato and other vegetables, and then headed back to Dublin !

We had Thai for dinner! This pad thai was deeeelicious

This was a stir fried Aubergine and tofu dish

Day 3: Headed to the Guinness Factory!

Look at mum striking that pose

Part of the tour included going to the Guinness Academy where they taught us how to pour our own pint of Guinness and mum and I did !! I must say I did not dislike the taste of it as much as I imagined I would have. Also, I put my uni card in my back pocket with my phone and when I took my phone out to take a picture, my uni card fell out and a kind man picked it up for me!! THANK YOU KIND SOUL :')

We then caught our 4:55pm flight back to London

Dublin was not too bad!! My favourite day was when we went to the Cliffs of Moher because I would pick to appreciate nature over shopping/walking around the city any day!!

London with Mumsies! ☺

I picked Mum up from Heathrow on the 22nd of June and literally almost had tears of joy when I saw her come through the arrival gate :')
This was just what we were up to in the week and a half we were in London!

Daily breakfast of weetabix and fruit :)

This was Matcha and vanilla yoghurt (dairy free) from Yorica! They are an entirely free from shop meaning free from lots of allergens like nuts, milk, eggs etc. They even have peanut butter ice cream that's made without peanuts but tastes legit!! The secret was toasted soy beans

Mum and I went shopping along New Bond street before we met up with Aunty Steph for lunch at the House of Ho - a vietnamese restaurant which was really very bad :( The broth of the pho was so tasteless and so was everything else!

Mum and I also headed to Shoreditch Box Park and Brick Lane!

We had ethiopian food which was sooo yummy and their presentation was so good!

We also had vegan 50/50 Brown rice + Quinoa Rice bowls from CookDaily at Shoreditch box park!
We both got curries and they were deeeeelicious

This was at Neal's Yard near covent garden! One of my favourite places to go to in London because of the amazing atmosphere here

We stopped for a coffee break at Hoxton Hotel in Holborn and if anyone is looking for a nice place to relax/eat/hang out with friends/do work, this is the place to go! The atmosphere is super chill, urban and hipster-ish and service is great as well with affordable food/drinks :)

One of the days where Mum and I decided to have a food shop in Whole Foods along High Street Kensington, we decided to have lunch at Down To Earth first before heading up the high street :)

I had a beetroot burger with a chickpea bun and sweet potato fries while mum had an Aubergine Lasagne! Both dishes entirely vegan (they only have 2 non-vegan dishes on the menu) and they were incredible!!

We ended the meal with a peanut butter cake!

Surprisingly mum and I did not do much shopping in London, we didn't have any VAT to claim!!  We did quite a lot of food shops instead, buying back granola from M&S, Rye Crisp bread, Oats, Quinoa and other yummy goodies that are just so much cheaper in the UK!

Next post, Dublin!

Working in Harrods !

My 2 weeks work experience at Harrods was amazing!
I really learnt so much here and I absolutely love customer service

I was not sure if I would be given a uniform and so I went work appropriate clothes hunting before work started - but in the end I was given a uniform and transitioned from left to right

Just a little sneak peak of the bakery section where I worked at in the first week :)

In the second week, I worked in the Traiteur section which is the deli section - they had a whole array of cooked food like fish cakes, pies, terrines, beef wellington, salmon, lasagnes, mac and cheese etc.
Even though I was serving meat, I still did enjoy working here and there was so much more to do as I had to weigh and package everything, and interact a lot more with the customers as compared to the bakery section which was self-service
My colleagues at both the Bakery and the Traiteur were all so lovely, everyone was so friendly and made me feel so welcomed. I could already feel their family spirit in just the first few hours of working on the shop floor and I have honestly not met a group of people who all love each other and work so well together - it was a privilege working alongside them

I am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to work in the best department store in the world!!! Apparently they need temporary staff during the Christmas period so hopefully I'll get to do that this Christmas :) and get paid this time !

* I also saw Michael Caine!!! (he's Alfred in the Dark Knight) hehe *
